When the sisters of Benedictines of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, aren't hard at work on the monastery grounds in rural Missouri, they're topping the charts with glorious albums of sacred music. The group's Angels and Saints at Ephesus topped the Billboard classical charts. Named Billboard's Classical Traditional Artist 2012 and 2013, they were the first order of nuns to win an award in the history of Billboard magazine. At the Priory of Our Lady of Ephesus, the feasts of saints and angels are especially commemorated in song, many of which are featured on this beautiful recording. The opening track, O God of Loveliness, rooted in a Silesian folk song, was sung at the funeral for John F. Kennedy. These Benedictine Sisters hope "...that this music raises your hearts to Him, that at the end of our life here, our souls may be prepared to share the company of the angels and saints when we behold God face to face."
